Spring Light Rifle Shooting Event

Location: Waterbury-Stowe Fish & Game Club

Schedule

  • Gates Open: 10:00 AM

  • Check-In Begins: 10:15 AM

  • Mandatory Safety Brief: 10:30 AM

  • Shooting Begins: Immediately following the briefing

 

Registration opens on 3/17/26- closes on 4/4/26-Light Rifle Spring Shoot - EquestEvent.

VTHSRA May 3rd Open Barrels & Poles + FUN Gymkhana
  Location: TNT Stables – Barre, VT


  Schedule:
• Arena Open & Check-In: 9:00 AM
• Expos: 10:30 AM
• Event Start: Immediately following expos (~11:00 AM)


  Requirements:
• Current Coggins required
• Out-of-state horses must have a valid health certificate too


  Barrels & Poles (Open Event + VTHSRA POINTED Side Draws)
  $30 Entry | $15 Pee Wee
• Open Barrels
• Open Youth Barrels
• HS Barrels (VTHSRA POINTED Side Draw)
• JR HS Barrels (VTHSRA POINTED Side Draw)
• Pee Wee Barrels
• Open Poles
• HS Poles (VTHSRA POINTED Side Draw)
• JR HS Poles (VTHSRA POINTED Side Draw)


  FUN Gymkhana (Following Barrels & Poles)
• 5 Events (TBD)
  $30 per horse/rider combo
  Ribbons awarded to Top 4 finishers


  Notes:
• VTHSRA members must enter the HS/JR HS side draws to earn points
• Side draws are POINTED and run in rodeo format (fastest time wins, not 4D)

• This event is both a VTHSRA-pointed event and a fundraiser supporting our athletes
• Cowboy Cook-Off happening during the event (see flyer for details)
• 50/50 raffle at the event

It is the member’s responsibility to register during these hours.NO late entries will be accepted for any reason.

Camping & Stalls

Gates open Friday for those who would like to camp; however, you do not need to arrive until check-in on Saturday.

• Stalls: $45 each

• Full hookups: $75

• Dry camping available

• No tie-outs allowed

Events (VTHSRA Pointed Side Pot for members ONLY with pay outs for ONLY for 1st place VTHSRA Junior HS and HS member in each event side pot) 

**VTHSRA members MUST enter the VTHSRA side pots to earn points. Members can also enter the Millbrook Open event separately to compete against the open riders for payouts. **

Side Pot Information

  • Points count toward VTHSRA year-end standings

  • Payout to 1st place only for High School and Junior High side pot

  • Begins approximately one hour after the event concludes

  • Held in the Millbrook Horse Farm LLC indoor arena

  • Low-key, family-friendly BBQ

  • VTHSRA provides main dishes

  • Potluck sides and desserts welcome

  • Awards presentation following the meal
