VTHSRA YTD Standings

**Attention**

When viewing YTD Standings in EquestEvent, you may notice that the event names shown don't always match the VTHSRA event names you're familiar with.

This is because EquestEvent uses the event's system category when displaying YTD Standings. This is especially noticeable with our Little Wranglers events, where we had to use existing EquestEvent categories that don't always match our event names.

Use the charts below to find your VTHSRA event, then look for the corresponding event name when viewing YTD Standings.

VTHSRA Helper Point Requirements

2026–2027 Season

All VTHSRA members must earn a minimum of 8 Helper Points during the season in order to qualify for End-of-Year Awards and State Finals.

If you do not earn your 8 required Helper Points before State Finals, you will not be eligible to compete at State Finals or receive End-of-Year Awards.

Helper Points can be earned in several ways throughout the season:

Rodeo Helper Points

  • Barrel Setting – Open: 1 point for helping for the entire Open
  • Pole Setting – Open: 1 point for helping for the entire Open
  • Goat Tying Help: 1 point for helping for the entire event. This may include gate help, goat holding, horse catching, or other assigned assistance.
  • Roping Help: 1 point for helping for the entire event, including gate help or other assigned assistance.
  • Event Set-Up: 1 point
  • Event Clean-Up: 1 pointMUST CHECK OUT WITH A BOARD MEMEBER AFTER YOU DO SOMETHING TO GET YOUR POINTS

Team Fundraising & PR Events

Members can also earn points by participating in VTHSRA team fundraising and promotional activities, such as:

  • Car washes
  • Bake sales
  • Bottle drives
  • Fundraising events
  • PR/promotional activities
  • Other VTHSRA-approved team activities

Every 2 hours worked = 1 Helper Point

Fundraising / Cash Donations

Every $50 raised or donated = 1 Helper Point

Frisbee Fundraiser

$200 in donated items = 4 Helper Points

 

 

Remember: 8 Points Are Required!

Helper Points are designed to encourage everyone to pitch in and help keep VTHSRA events, rodeos, fundraising efforts, and activities running successfully.

There are plenty of opportunities throughout the season to earn your points, so we encourage members to start early and keep track of your progress.

You must have all 8 Helper Points completed before State Finals to be eligible for State Finals and End-of-Year Awards.
